allow it to escape.
NOTE:
Keep the opening (A) of the fuel cap free of
deposits (Fig. 21A).
Fuel filter
1.
Using a metal wire (C) bent into a hook or a
suitably bent paper clip, remove the tube and
filter (B) from the tank (Fig.21B).
2.
Remove the filter from the tube by holding the
tube still and turning the filter.
3.
Replace the fuel filter (D in fig.21C).
NOTE:
Never use the brush cutter without the fuel
filter, as this could cause serious internal damage
to the motor.
ADJUSTING THE CARBURETTOR
The carburettor is pre-set in the factory for optimum
performance.
Should further adjustments be required, please
contact your nearest Service Centre.
SPARK PLUG
1.
The gap (distance between electrodes) of the
spark plug is 0.635mm .025” (Fig.22).
2.
The clamping torque must be between 12 and
15 Nm. Connect the spark plug cap.
HEAD WITH GEARS
Lubricate with lithium-based grease. Remove the
screw and fill with grease, turning the head
manually until the grease comes out (Fig. 23).
Refasten the screw.
SHARPENING THE LINE CUTTING BLADE
1.
Remove the line cutting blade (E) from the
guard (F) (Fig. 24).
2.
Clamp the line-cutting blade in a vice. Sharpen
the blade using a flat file making sure you keep
the cutting angle. Sharpen in one direction only.
STORAGE
ATTENTION: If you do not follow these instruc-
tions oily deposits may form in the carburettor,
making it difficult to start the machine or caus-
ing permanent damage owing to disuse of the
machine.
1.
Follow all the general recommendations indi-
cated in the storage paragraph of the user
manual.
2.
Clean the outer part of the motor, the drive
assembly, the guard and the head with nylon
line.
3.
Empty the fuel tank.
4.
After emptying the tank, start the motor.
5.
Run the motor idle until is stops to remove all
fuel from the carburettor.
6.
Allow the motor to cool (about 5 minutes).
7.
Use the specific spanner to remove the spark
plug.
8.
Pour in 1 teaspoonful of clean 2-stroke motor
oil. Pull the starter cord a few times to cover
the internal components with a layer of oil.
Refit the spark plug.
9.
Store the machine in a cool, dry place, far from
sources of heat (such as radiators, boilers,
etc.) or naked flames.
PREPARING THE MACHINE AFTER STORAGE
1.
Remove the spark plug.
2.
Pull the starter cord vigorously to remove
excess oil from the combustion chamber.
3.
Clean and check the gap (distance between
electrodes) of the spark plug or fit a new spark
plug with a suitable gap.
4.
Prepare the machine for use.
5.
Fill the tank with suitable mixture. See para-
graph FUEL AND LUBRICANT.
