RECOMMENDED FUELS
Some conventional fuels are mixed with oxygenat-
ing substances such as alcohol and ether com-
pounds or other substances that comply with levels
for clean air. Your motor has been designed to
operate satisfactorily with any petrol produced for
motor-propulsion including the oxygenated petrols.
FUEL AND LUBRICANT
Petrol-to-oil mixture 40:1 (Fig. 8).
STARTING UP WITH THE MOTOR COLD
NOTE:
To reduce load on the motor to a minimum
during start-up and warm-up, cut the excess nylon
line (to 13 cm) Fig. 9A.
1.
Position the Start-Stop switch to “ON” “ I ” (Fig.
9B).
2.
Your machine has 2 choke positions: CLOSE
“|_|”, and RUN “|
l
| ”. Move the choke to the
position CLOSE “|_|” (Fig.9C).
3.
Fill the carburettor with fuel. Press the primer
bulb 10 times (Fig. 9D).
4.
Hold the handgrip firmly, press and hold the
trigger (B) in the throttle fully open position
(maximum) (Fig. 9E).
5.
Pull the starter cord another 4 times with the
trigger in the throttle fully open position (maxi-
mum) (Fig. 9F).
6.
Let the motor run for 10 seconds.
7.
Move the choke to the position RUN “|
l
| ” (Fig.
9G).
8.
If the motor does not start up, repeat steps
from 1 to 7.
NOTE:
If the motor still does not start up after
repeating the operations, see paragraph
Troubleshooting.
NOTE:
Always pull the starter cord straight out-
wards. If the starter cord is pulled at a different
angle, it rubs against the bushing. This friction
causes the cord to wear faster. Always hold the
starter handle during release. Never allow the han-
dle in the extended position to knock against the
starter housing. This could cause the cord to
become tangled or wear or damage to the starter
assembly.
• TO STOP THE MOTOR
Release the accelerator trigger. Allow the motor to
return to minimum revs. Press and hold the switch
(A) in the STOP position until the motor stops (Fig.
10).
STARTING UP WITH THE MOTOR WARM
1.
Position the Start-Stop switch to “ I ” (“ON”)
(Fig. 9B).
2.
Hold the handgrip firmly, press and hold the
trigger (B) in the throttle fully open position
(maximum) (Fig. 9E).
3.
Pull the starter cord out rapidly until the motor
starts, although not more than 6 times.
4.
If the motor will not start up, follow the proce-
dure indicated in the paragraph “STARTING
UP WITH THE MOTOR COLD”.

FURTHER SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Before using the machine re-read all the safety
instructions in this manual.

foreign bodies such as cans, bottles, stones
etc.. If one of these foreign bodies is hit it could
cause serious injury to the operator or other
people present and damage the machine. If a
foreign body is knocked against accidentally,
SWITCH OFF THE MOTOR IMMEDIATELY
and examine the machine. Never work with the
machine damaged or faulty.
