Appendix C — UIM Button Operation
There are five buttons on the UIM whose functions
vary depending on how they are pressed.
You can perform three types of actions with each UIM
button:
• Short press (or “press and release”)
• Long press (or “press and hold for 2 to
6 seconds”)
• Extended press (or “press and hold for
6 seconds or longer”)
The function of each button changes depending on
what operating mode the car kit is in.
