From Contacts
1. From the Home screen, tap Contacts .
2. Tap and hold a contact to display the options menu.
3. Tap
Text contact .
4. Compose the contents.
5. Tap
Send .
From Call log
1. From the Home screen, tap Contacts .
2. Tap the Call log tab to view all call history.
3. Tap a call from the Call log.
4. Tap
Send text message .
5. Compose the contents.
6. Tap
Send .
Note: If you exit Messaging before sending
a message, the unsent message will
automatically be saved as a draft.
To request message delivery notification
1. In Messaging , tap Menu > Settings to access
SMS and MMS settings.
2. Tap to tick Delivery reports checkbox.
3. Tap to exit the menu.
Receiving and managing messages
When you send and receive messages from a contact, these messages are grouped
as a message thread. A message thread looks like an exchanged conversation.
To reply to a text message
1. Tap Application Drawer > Messaging .
2. Tap a message thread to open it.
3. Tap
Type to compose to compose your message.
4. Tap Send .
