PTT call basics
To speak during a PTT call, hold the PTT Key and
speak after the tone. Only one person can speak at a
time.
To let others speak , release the PTT Key.
To end a call , press the Power/End Key (

).

Note: To make PTT calls, you must set PTT Mode to On
(see page 65).

1 Press the PTT Key to access your PTT CONTACT LIST .
2 Use the Navigation Key (

) to highlight the PTT
Contact entry you want to call.
3 Press and hold the PTT Key, and listen for the
“OK to Talk” tone. The message Connected to will
appear on the main screen. Speak while holding
the PTT Key down.
4 Release the PTT Key when finished speaking.
This allows the called party to reply.
5 Press the Power/End Key (

) to end the call.
alert call from PTT Contact List
You can send an alert to any user with Verizon
Wireless PTT service. The called party may answer or
ignore the alert.
1 Press the PTT Key to access your PTT CONTACT LIST .
2 Use the Navigation Key (
N
) to highlight the PTT
Contact entry you want to call.
3 Press the Left Soft Key (

) ( Alert ). Your phone will
display Press PTT Key to Alert .
4 Press the PTT key to alert the selected individual.
Your phone plays “PTT Outgoing Alert” tones and
displays Alerting .
