OPENING THE GEARBOX 

• 

Remove the starter motor, see REMOVING THE 
STARTER MOTOR. 

• 

Make sure that the gearbox is in neutral. 

• 

Loosen and remove the screw and remove the gear 
shift lever. 

 

 

• 

Loosen and remove the plug. 

 

 

• 

Place a suitably sized container under it, unscrew and 
remove the plug; drain all oil from the gearbox, as 
described in the reference chassis manual, see 
REFERENCE MANUALS. 

 

 

• 

Loosen and remove the three screws.
