3.3. TIMING

3.3.1. REMOVAL
AND
INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
•
Remove the engine from the frame, see chassis
manual, see REFERENCE MANUALS.
•
Remove the generator following the instructions given
in REMOVAL.
•
Remove both heads, see REMOVING THE HEADS.
•
Mark the timing references to be restored upon
reassembly.
•
Using the suitable tool (part no. 12.91.18.01) lock the
starter gear.
•
Loosen the central nut securing the camshaft gear and
set aside the washer.
