Switching the video inputs
Video inputs IN-1, IN-2 and IN-3 can be toggled manually or automatically via
control lines.
Please note that control line-based toggling is higher priority than manual
switching. This means that an active control line takes precedence over
manual switching.
If the monitor is to be used on a vehicle with a trailer, the “Trailer” function provi-
des a very convenient switching option.
6.1 Manual switching
Quickly press the “Power/Video” button.
The monitor switches over to the other video input even if
there is no video signal to it (blue screen) IN-1 > IN-2 > IN-3 >
IN-1 > IN-2 …
6.2 Automatic switching with control lines
In conjunction with the vehicle electronics, the control lines SEL-1, SEL-2 and
SEL-3 allow automatic switching processes to take place (see also “Application
examples” chapter).
Control line priority: SEL-1 above SEL-2 above SEL-3.
If SEL-1 is active, i.e. there is voltage to it, video input IN-1 is displayed.
If SEL-2 is active, video input IN-2 is displayed, providing the monitor is
switched on. If it is switched off, the POC line needs to be activated with the
same on-board supply signal.
If SEL-3 is active, video input IN-3 is displayed, providing the monitor is
switched on. If it is switched off, the POC line needs to be activated with the
same on-board supply signal.
