Gas Fire Extinguishers
If fitted in engine space, should be weighed every six month - see maintenance instructions
on cylinder. If weight is less than stated, replace immediately.
Webbing (Safety Lines)
If fitted, should be checked regularly for signs of chafe or damage. Stitching should be
carefully examined for deterioration in high UV areas and replaced on professional advice.
Maintenance on Syphon Breaks and Vented Loops
We have been advised by our suppliers, that maintenance on the above items should be
carried out on an annual, if not more regular basis in order to ensure full effectiveness of the
systems.
Maintenance can be carried out as follows
Units :-
Black Version - 87550
Clean by washing through with fresh water. The valve itself can be unscrewed and washed
out separately.
Blue Version - 87570
Clean by washing through with fresh water. The valve on top of the unit can be unscrewed
and washed with fresh water.
As a general rule, all marine toilet systems and engine systems should be fresh water flushed at
whether the boat is afloat or ashore.
