THE
USE
Before
use
•
Remove
all
packaging
materials.
•
Make
sure
the
device
is
disconnected
from
the
power
supply.
•
Clean
the
device
with
a
wet
cloth
and
some
detergent
if
necessary
(also
see
the
paragraph
"maintenance
and
cleaning").
•
Inspect
the
power
cord
and
plug
for
damage
before
each
use.
Do
not
use
the
device
if
the
power
cord
or
the
device
is
damaged
or
not
working
properly.
The
use
Take
care:
•
Place
the
device
on
a
stable,
flat,
heat
resistant
surface.
•
Make
sure
that
the
ventilator
at
the
bottom
and
ventilation
opening
at
the
back
are
not
blocked.
1.
Put
the
plug
in
the
wall
‐
socket.
You
will
hear
a
sound
signal
to
indicate
the
device
is
in
standby
mode.
The
indicator
light
'On/Standby'
will
light
up.
2.
If
the
cooking
area
is
less
than
50°C
in
standby
mode,
the
display
will
show
the
letter
'L'.
If
the
cooking
zone
is
warmer
than
50°C,
the
display
will
show
the
letter
'H'.
3.
Place
a
suitable
saucepan
on
the
cooking
zone.
With
induction
cooking
the
heat
is
produced
by
a
magnetic
field
which
means
not
all
types
of
saucepans
are
suitable.
Suitable
saucepans
are:
•
Special
stainless
steel
saucepans
for
induction
cooking
•
Solid
enamelled
saucepans
•
Enamelled
cast
iron
saucepans
•
Saucepans
suitable
for
electric
cooking
Note:
the
following
materials
are
not
suitable:
pottery,
aluminium,
synthetic
material,
copper,
porcelain,
stainless
steel,
glass.
Note:
never
use
saucepans
with
an
unusual
shaped
basis
and
make
sure
the
basis
of
the
saucepan
is
clean
and
dry
to
prevent
damage
to
the
cooking
plate
or
reduced
operation
of
the
device.
4.
Press
the
'On/Standby'
button
to
turn
on
the
device.
The
indicator
light
'Power'
and
'Temp'
will
start
to
flash
and
there
will
be
a
sound
signal.
5.
You
can
now
set
the
desired
capacity
OR
the
desired
temperature.
Set
capacity:
Press
the
button
'Power'
(capacity).
The
indicator
light
'Power',
on
the
left
of
the
display,
will
light
up.
The
preset
capacity
setting
is
5.
You
can
set
the
capacity
higher
or
lower
at
any
time
(setting
1
until
10),
by
pressing
the
arrow
keys
until
you
have
reached
the
desired
capacity
(see
also
'Preparation
table').
Set
temperature
:
Press
the
'Temp'
button
(temperature).
The
indicator
light
'Temp',
on
the
right
of
the
display,
will
light
up.
The
preset
temperature
is
120°C.
You
can
set
the
temperature
higher
or
lower
at
any
time
(60°C
‐
240°C)
by
pressing
the
arrow
keys
until
you
have
reached
the
desired
temperature.
Note:
if
you
do
not
set
the
capacity
or
temperature,
the
device
will
automatically
go
back
to
standby
mode.
