Locating malfunctions

Removing the wheels

Follow these procedures if you need to remove a
wheel to repair a ﬂ at.



Front wheel

Removal
1.

Park on a ﬁ rm, level surface.

Loosen the axle pinch bolt.

Loosen the front axle.

While ﬁ rmly supporting the motorcycle, lift the
front wheel off the ground using a safety stand
or lifting device.

Remove the front axle and the wheel.

Avoid getting grease, oil or dirt on the
surfaces of the discs or pads.

Do not press the brake lever while the front
wheel is off the motorcycle.
