Maintenance

Drive chain slack adjustment

Adjustment of the drive chain requires the use
of special tools. If you do not have the necessary
means, have your dealer adjust your drive chain
tension.

Place the motorcycle on its side stand on level
ground.

Turn off the engine. Shift the transmission into
neutral.

Remove the protective covers from the axle.

Loosen the rear axle nut just enough to
move the rear wheel back.

Turn the eccentric chain adjuster equally on
both sides until the correct drive chain tension is
obtained.
