Aluminium components
Aluminium corrodes when it comes in contact with
dirt, mud or road salt.
Clean aluminium parts regularly, and follow these
indications to prevent scratches:
Do not use stiff brushes, steel wool or cleaners
containing abrasives.
Panels
Follow these indications to prevent stains and
scratches:
Wash the panels carefully with a soft sponge
and plenty of water.
Use diluted soap to remove tough stains, and
rinse with plenty of water.
Prevent petrol, brake fl uid and detergent from
contacting instruments, panels or the front
headlight.
Aluminium components
Exhaust pipe and silencer
Do not use abrasive commercial cooktop cleaners
to clean the exhaust pipe or silencer. Use a neutral
detergent to clean the painted surface on the
exhaust pipe and silencer. If you are unsure whether
the exhaust pipe and silencer are painted, contact
your dealer.
