330 SPORT YACHT
is wet. The windshield glass can be scratched by
activating the wipers when there is dried salt or
dirt on the windshield.
The center windshield section opens to provide
access to the bow deck area and ventilation to
cockpit when the boat is at anchor or tied to a
dock. The section is opened by releasing the locks
on the inside of the windshield. A magnetic stop
on the deck automatically secures the windshield
section in the open position. Steps next to the
helm provide access to the forward deck through
the windshield. Make sure the center section is
closed and latched with both locks before cruis-
ing and never attempt to access the forward deck
using the walk thru windshield while the boat is
underway.
USE CAUTION WHEN OPENING WINDSHIELD
WALK-THRU. THIS MAGNET IS VERY POWERFUL
AND COULD CAUSE INJURY OR DAMAGE TO
VESSEL
TO AVOID INJURY, WINDOW WALK-THRU MUST
BE SECURED IN THE CLOSED POSITION WHEN
VESSEL IS IN MOTION. USE BOTH WINDOW
LOCKS.
The stainless steel windshield frame is polished.
Polished stainless steel is very durable and pro-
vides excellent resistance to the corrosive effects
of saltwater, however it must be maintained
properly and certain precautions must be ob-
served when mounting snaps or hardware to the
windshield.
The windshield should be washed after each use
with soap and water to keep it clean. Saltwater
allowed to remain on the windshield frame will
eventually begin to attack the stainless and cause
rust stains, usually around fasteners and hardware
mounted to the windshield. Snaps or any hard-
ware mounted to the windshield must be properly
sealed and isolated with caulk or a Tefl on sealer to
prevent salty moisture and galvanic corrosion from
damaging the stainless frame. Poor maintenance
or improperly mounted hardware and snaps can
void the warranty on the windshield.
Refer to the Routine Maintenance chapter for
more information on the care and maintenance
of stainless steel.
Sun Lounge Cushion
A removable sun lounge cushion is located on the
deck. The cushion is secured to the deck by a
special slide track on the forward end of the cush-
ion and snaps on the rear. The cushion should
be removed and stored in the cabin whenever
the boat is not being used and installed before
each cruise.
The cushion is installed by sliding the male slide
track on the forward end of the cushion into the
female slide track on the deck. Center the cushion
and secure the rear with the snaps. Make sure
the cushion is properly installed prior to leaving
the dock or mooring. The cushion is large and
somewhat awkward, making it diffi cult to install
once the boat is underway. If it is not secured
properly, the cushion could be caught by the wind
and blown overboard or into the cockpit, causing
damage to the boat or injury to passengers.
The sun lounge cushion and walk thru wind-
shield are intended to be used only when the
boat is at the dock or at anchor. They should
never be used while cruising.
