Please observe the following items in any case:

The units are suitable for indoor use only. Protect
them against dripping water and splash water,
high air humidity and heat (admissible ambient
temperature range 0 – 40 °C).

Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on the
units, e. g. a drinking glass.
G
The heat produced inside the active speaker sys-
tem is dissipated via the cooling fins (10); there-
fore, never cover the cooling fins.
G
Do not operate the units or immediately discon-
nect the mains plug from the socket
1. if the speaker or the mains cable is visibly
damaged,
2. if a defect might have occurred after a unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the units must be repaired by skilled
personnel.

Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the
mains plug from the socket, always seize the
plug.

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
water or chemicals.

other purposes than originally intended, if they
are not correctly connected or operated, if they

3 Applications
This compact active speaker set is suitable for hi-fi
applications, as a monitoring system in home
recording studios, for AV presentations on a com-
puter, TV set or projector and for similar applica-
tions in small rooms.
Each speaker system is equipped with a 13 cm
(5″) bass-midrange speaker and a dome tweeter.
The left speaker system additionally features an
amplifier and facilities to adjust the volume and the
tone. The amplifier is equipped with protective cir-
cuits to prevent short circuit and overheating.
As an alternative to the analog signal inputs, the
speaker set is able to receive digital audio signals
via wireless Bluetooth transmission.
4 Installation and Connections
Set up or install the speakers. For installation, use
three screws to fasten the base of the speaker to a
wall or ceiling. (
fig. 2). The base has a ball joint
so that the speaker can be aligned in many differ-
ent ways. After aligning, secure the ball joint: Use
the hex key provided to fasten the four hexagon
socket screws.

Installation options
When positioning the left speaker system, always
make sure that air will be able to flow freely through
the cooling fins (10) on the rear to ensure sufficient
cooling.
If the units are to be put out of operation
definitively, take them to a local recycling
plant for a disposal which is not harmful to
the environment.
WARNING The active speaker uses dangerous
mains voltage. Leave servicing to
skilled personnel only. Inexpert han-
dling or modification may result in
electric shock.
