Lid Lock
Your washer has a security system that prevents opening the lid during the spin cycle. The lid lock prevents
anyone (especially children) from reaching into the washer while the basket is spinning. The lock will be
released approximately 2 minutes after the basket stops spinning.
About the control panel
Load Size
Loosely load clothes into the washer basket and select the appropriate load size. (For models that do not have a load size
selection knob, press the load size button repeatedly to switch between different water levels).
Temperature
Select the water temperature for the wash and rinse cycles. Always follow fabric manufacturer’s care label or instructions when
laundering.
(For models that do not have a temperature selection knob, the washer automatically selects the wash temperature according
to the selected cycle. Wash temperatures for each cycle are indicated on the control panel).

(on some models)
When you use extra detergent or bleach to clean heavily soiled clothes, you may want to use the

second deep cold rinse (short: 3 mins; long: 6 mins).
Wash Cycle
The wash cycle controls the length of the washing process. Select the desired wash cycle and press the Start/Pause button to
begin. If you wish to change the wash program after the washer has begun operating, press the Start/Pause button in order to
stop the operation. Change to the desired wash program and press the Start/Pause button to start again. The wash cycle will
start from the beginning.
For some models, the Manual Mode button allows you to modify the wash program by selecting a specific cycle stage. After
selecting a wash program, press the
Manual Mode
button repeatedly to choose different program stages.
(For models that do not have the manual mode option, this button serves as the load size selector).
Cycle Indicator Lights
identify what stage the washer is in. If the indicator lights are blinking, the operation of the washer has been paused. To
resume operation press the Start/Pause button. During the spin cycle, the lid lock will be engaged, and will be shown on the
indicator lights. The lid lock will be released approximately 2 minutes after the spin cycle is completed.
Start/Pause
Press the Start/Pause button to begin the cycle. If you raise the lid or change the cycle, you will have to press the Start/Pause
button to resume the operation of your washer.
Your washer may not be exactly as shown.
