(11) Protective control function
(a) Frost prevention for indoor heat exchanger
(During cooling or dehumidifying)
1) Operating conditions
a) Indoor heat exchanger temperature (Th) is lower than ºC.
b) minutes after reaching the compressor command speed except 0 rps.
2) Detail of anti-frost operation

3) Reset conditions:
The indoor heat exchanger temperature (Th) is ºC or higher after minutes of operation following
control of the compressor command speed upper is 0 rps.

(b) Cooling overload protective control
1) Operating conditions:
When the outdoor unit is operating with the compressor command speed of other than 0 rps, and when
the outdoor air temperature sensor (TH) becomes ºC or over for 0 seconds continuously.
2) Detail of operation
a) Outdoor fan is stepped up by speed step. (Upper limit speed is th speed.)
b) The lower limit of compressor command speed is set to 0 rps and even if the calculated result becomes lower than that
after fuzzy calculation, the speed is kept to 0 rps. However, when the thermo becomes OFF, the speed is reduced to 0 rps.
3) Reset conditions:
When either of the following condition is satisfied.
a) When the outdoor air temperature becomes 0ºC or less.
b) When the compressor command speed is 0rps.
(c) Compressor overheat protection
1) Purpose:
It is designed to prevent deterioration of oil, burnout of motor coil and other trouble resulting from the com-
pressor overheat.
2) Detail of operation
a)
Speeds are controlled with temperature detected by the sensor mounted on the discharge pipe.
(Example) Fuzzy
Notes () When the discharge pipe temperature is in the range of 00 to 0ºC, the speed is reduced by rps.
() When the discharge pipe temperature is raised and continues operation for 0 seconds without changing, then the speed is reduced again by rps.
() If the discharge pipe temperature is still 0ºC or greater but less than 00ºC even when the compressor command speed is maintained for minutes
when the temperature is 0ºC or greater but less than 00ºC, the speed is raised by rps and kept at that speed for minutes. This process is
repeated until the compressor command speed is reached.

b)
If the temperature of 0ºC is detected by the sensor on the discharge pipe, then the compressor will stop immediately.
When the discharge pipe temperature drops and the time delay of minutes is over, the unit starts again within hour
but there is no start at the third time.
