Using Turning Gear
1.
Loosen the two bolts, and remove the plate from
the shaft groove.

Push in the shaft fully to engage it with the ring
gear.

Using a socket wrench and a ratchet handle, turn
the shaft.
4.
After turning, pull out the shaft, insert the plate in
the shaft groove, and tighten the bolts.

Before starting the engine, make sure that the manual turning gear is pulled out in the original position. Starting the
engine with the turning gear pushed in not only damages the ring gear but also may result in personal injury.
