The CD-ROM drive can retrieve multimedia data
from CD-ROM discs and multi-session Photo-CD
discs. It can also play normal music CDs (the drive
has its own headphone jack and associated volume
control).
Keep CDs well away from dust and moisture, and
avoid touching the surface of the CD. Avoid extremes
of temperature and exposure to direct sunlight as
these may cause the disc to warp.
Do not attempt to move the computer while a CD is
in the drive, especially if the CD is being played at the
time.
Warning
The laser beam inside the CD-ROM drive is harmful to
the eyes if looked at directly. Do not attempt to
disassemble the CD-ROM drive. If a fault occurs, call an
authorised maintainer.
