1. Remove the vacuum hose (yellow stripe) from the throttle

actuator and connect a hand vacuum pump to the throttle

actuator nipple.

2. Check that the actuator rod moves smoothly when

applying vacuum gradually.

Also, check that the vacuum is maintained when applying

53 kPa of vacuum.
