Playback

When you press REC button during playback, the signal from
S-VIDEO/VIDEO IN and AUDIO IN L/R connector is monitored.
When the tape reaches its end during playback/fast
forwarding
VCR’s function varies by the setting of TAPE END in MENU 1.

Rewinding a tape
Press REW button.
To stop rewinding, press STOP button.
Fast forwarding a tape
Press FF button.
To stop fast forwarding, press STOP button.

The fast forward/rewind time of a E-180/SE-180 tape is
approximately 2 minutes, however, the time varies by the type
of a tape you use.
Audio recording/playback
When an AUDIO IN (CH-1/L) or AUDIO IN (CH-2/R) is connected,
the normal audio signal is recorded on the linear track. Set
NORMAL AUDIO IN in MENU 2 for selecting the audio signal to
be recorded. When a microphone is connected to MIC IN terminal,
the audio signal from the microphone is recorded regardless of
the NORMAL AUDIO IN setting. To record Hi-Fi audio, set Hi-Fi
AUDIO in MENU 2 to ON.

When playback the recorded audio signal, use MONITOR switch
or AUDIO switch on the front panel to select the audio signal to be
played back.
Note
•
Audio may be distorted when setting AUDIO switch to MIX
during playback.
