• To change parameter settings on the LCD operation panel (FR-LU08), do not use the Easy setup wizard.
• For the FR-B inverter, the following parameters are invalid.

Offline auto tuning before starting operation of the FR-B3 series
inverter
The inverter rated current is set at 85% for the FR-B3-(N)(H)750 or lower.
Differs according to the voltage class. (200 V/400 V)

• Tuning is enabled even when a load is connected to the motor. (Tuning accuracy is higher for the lighter load. Tuning accuracy does not change even if the inertia is
large.)
• Offline auto tuning without motor rotation (
Pr.96
= "1") or with motor rotation (
Pr.96
= "101") can be selected. However, make sure to perform offline auto tuning with
motor rotation.
• Reading, writing, and copying of the motor constants tuned by offline auto tuning are enabled.
• The offline auto tuning status can be monitored with the operation panel or the parameter unit.

WARNING
Since this inverter assumes to be used in combination with the Mitsubishi Electric inverter-driven pressure-resistant explosion-proof type motors, settings are
restricted for some parameters. Always use the parameters under restrictions.
The FR-B3 series inverter has passed an explosion-proof test on condition that offline auto tuning with motor rotation is performed under Advanced
magnetic flux vector control. Make sure to perform offline auto tuning with motor rotation under Advanced magnetic flux vector control (initial control
method).
• Advanced magnetic flux vector control
The low speed torque can be improved by providing voltage compensation to flow a motor current which meets the load torque. The output frequency
is further compensated (slip compensation) to bring the actual motor speed closer to the commanded speed. This function is useful when the load
fluctuates are severe.
• Offline auto tuning
Automatic measurement of motor constants (offline auto tuning) by the FR-B3 series inverter enables optimal operation of motors even when motor
constants vary or when the wiring length is long.
