HDD SELF TEST
Before using the HDD attached to this unit, test the HDD whether to be used correctly. There are 3 types of the test
method and choose one in the <HDD SELF TEST> screen. When choosing, refer to the table below which describes the
details of each method.
When the HDD is newly attached for recording, it is recommended to execute “READ/WRITE TEST” and
format all the area of the HDD before it is used for recording. Be sure that all the data in the HDD will be erased
when executing “READ/WRITE TEST.”

The reading and writing test executed in

execute “READ/WRITE TEST,” attach one HDD to be tested and remove the other HDD with the contents you do
not want to erase.
This function temporarily tests the HDD whether it will be used correctly, and does not completely criticize the
defect involved in the HDD.
