NOTE
Due to increased Ethanol content in petrol we recommend the use of B3C Ethanol
Shield 2-Stroke Oil, and Ethanol Shield Fuel Stabiliser to protect your Kawasaki engine
against the harmful effects of Ethanol.
Mixing:
WARNING
Gasoline is highly flammable and can be explosive under certain circumstances.
Never overfill tank so that fuel rises into filler neck. Heat may cause fuel to expand and
overflow through vents in tank cap. After refueling, make sure cap is closed securely. If
gasoline is spilled on engine or tank, wipe it off immediately.
Pour the measured amount of 2-stroke oil into an approval gasoline container and add
gasoline to the specified container amount (gasoline 1 gal., 3 gal., etc.).
NOTE
○
Do not use the gasoline that has been stored longer than two months.
○
To ensure proper starting at low ambient temperatures, fresh winter grade fuel must be
used.
Filling the Tank:
l
Level the engine before fueling.
l
Open the fuel tank cap and fill the tank with 50:1 gas/oil pre-mixed fuel.
l
Pour slowly to avoid "spit back" and allow air to escape from the tank.
Shoulder Harness
Proper use of the shoulder harness is important for effective cutting operation.
l
Put on the harness diagonally settled on the left shoulder (see illustration).
l
Adjust a shoulder harness to suit your body.
