The miDoor iPhone App
To use the miDoor iPhone App you must have an iPhone with IOS 4.3 or above installed and
download the app from the App Store (
http://itunes.com/apps/miDoor

Configuring the app
Once the app is downloaded you will need to configure the app. In the “Settings” application
provided with the iPhone there will be a new section called ‘miDoor’. Select the Settings
application and then select the miDoor app.
A screen will be displayed with four fields that need to be filled in:
Private Network Address
This field is required if you would like to operate the garage door from the app.
This must be the same value that miDoor uses to communicate on the local Wi-FI
network. If miDoor is configured to use a fixed (non-DHCP) address then this
should be the same value as that entered in the ‘IP Address’ field in the miDoor
configuration (see Network Configuration.)
If miDoor was configured to use a DHCP address you will have to find the IP
address that the DHCP server assigned and use that value. Beware that the IP
address may change on the miDoor device. If DHCP changes the IP address
then you will have to update this field with any changes.
Furthermore, in order for the iPhone to communicate to miDoor using this
address the iPhone will have to attach to your local private network using the
built-in Wi-Fi interface. You will have to make sure your iPhone’s Wi-Fi
connection is configured.
Global Network Address
If you would like to view the status of the garage door remotely (away from your
local network) then this field must be the public IP address of your network or the
public name of your network if using such a feature. You will have to contact
your Internet Service Provider to find this information.
If the public IP address or name changes this field will have to be changed as
well.
