SUPER ADVANCED MIDI CONFIGURATION

The Kitara has the option to control the envelopes of the sound in a special way so as to be more realistic and allow for slides etc. We do this by introducing a
control called “stop_sound”. By default, the Misa Kitara operates in “Compatibility Mode” which isn’t so great. If you want a string to truly operate like the
onboard synth, you need to configure a stop_sound control for it.
A stop_sound control is a MIDI CC control that turns the sound of a channel off. It does not turn the note off, it merely mutes it. The MIDI specification defines
Channel Volume as MIDI CC #07.
You may wish to repeat this process for the other 5 strings, depending on your setup.
If your external MIDI device has been configured correctly, you will notice you only get a sharp attack sound when you tap the touch panel. And when sliding
notes, the sound is much smoother.
NOTE: If the above does not work for you synthesizer, it is possible it does not respond to the Channel Volume CC #07 message. In this case, please consult
your user manual for an equivalent control number that will work and substitute it in step 7 above.
