The Kitara controls its internal synthesizer in a complex and very unique way. By default, the Kitara will not be able to control your external MIDI synthesizers
in the same way – without some configuration first.
This configuration is quite complex and varies depending on the exact MIDI equipment you are connecting to. Nonetheless it is vital that you understand the
concepts and follow the steps below if you want the Kitara to control your external equipment the same way it handles the internal synth.

Press the “MIDI” button on the top row to
set the top string to output to a MIDI
channel instead of the internal synthe-
sizer.
Select “MIDI Channel 1”.
