1 ASD-211i/2D NTSC/PAL to 4:2:2 Adaptive Decoder
1.1 Introduction
The ASD-211i/2D is a multi-standard decoder converting analog composite video to
4:2:2 serial digital video. This decoder supports composite NTSC-M, PAL-B,G,H,I,
PAL-M, and PAL-N standards. The ASD-211i/2D is a 10-bit fully digital decoder
implementing a 2-D adaptive comb filter producing optimal picture quality with
virtually no cross-color or cross-luma artifacts. All four 4:2:2 serial digital video
signals respect the SMPTE 259M-C standard. Also, the serial digital video outputs
carry EDH data according to the SMPTE RP165 standard.
The ASD-211i/2D is a member of the
imaging
family of digital video modules and
therefore requires the
imaging
Quartet,
imaging
Quartet-C, Symphonie or
imaging
Solo tray for mounting and power.
