3.7 Gain

Luminance and chrominance gain can be controlled independently or
simultaneously.

3.7.1 Luminance Gain

Luminance gain has a range of 0 to 175%. Follow these steps to set the luminance
gain level:

1. From the main menu, press SELECT five times to enter the LUMA GAIN menu.

During this time, the LUMA LED flashes.

2. Use the UP(+) or DOWN(-) push-button to set the required gain. For a quicker

response, keep the push-button depressed.

3. Press SELECT to store the luminance gain for the current format.
4. To return to the main menu, press SELECT until there is no more flashing LED.

NOTE: Press UP(+) and DOWN(-) simultaneously to return to unity luminance
gain.

3.7.2 Chrominance Gain

Chrominance gain has a range of 0 to 200%. Follow these steps to set the
chrominance gain level:

1. From the main menu, press SELECT six times to enter the CHROMA GAIN

menu. During this time, the CHROMA LED flashes.

2. Use the UP(+) or DOWN(-) push-button to set the required gain. For a quicker

response, keep the push-button depressed.

3. Press SELECT to store the chrominance gain for the current format.
4. To return to the main menu, press SELECT until there is no more flashing LED.

NOTE: Press UP(+) and DOWN(-) simultaneously to return to unity
chrominance gain.

3.7.3 Overall Gain

Overall video can be controlled by following these steps:

1. From the main menu, press SELECT seven times to enter the overall gain

menu. During this time, the both the LUMA and CHROMA LEDs flash.

2. Use the UP(+) or DOWN(-) push-button to set the required gain. For a quicker

response, keep the push-button depressed.

3. Press SELECT to store the new luminance and chrominance gains for the

current format.

4. To return to the main menu, press SELECT until there is no more flashing LED.

NOTE: Press UP(+) and DOWN(-) simultaneously to set both the luminance
and chrominance gains to unity.
