2. Automatic Infrared Shooting Mode
After pushing the switch to ON, the blue LED indicator will flash for about
5 seconds and then the display will turn off; the MINOX DTC 300 enters
into the automatic IR shooting mode. When animals or persons move into
the PIR sensor area, the camera will immediately begin to take photos or
record videos. The camera will automatically go into Sleep Mode after
recording the images.
Note:
– The default interval time is 1 minute. During this 1 minute interval,
the camera is in Sleep Mode. It is advisable to set the interval time
according to the situation in which the camera is used.
– Before setting the camera to the automatic infrared shooting mode,
make sure that all the required settings have first been made in
TEST MODE.
– While in the automatic infrared shooting mode, press any button
under the display to activate the camera if you wish to check the
capacity of the batteries and memory card.
– When the battery capacity is low, the camera will enter the power
saving mode (please refer to SETUP chart for settings). This will
decrease the brightness of the IR LEDs and will influence the
quality of photos and videos recorded at night.
3. Turning off the camera
Push the switch to OFF; after a warning tone, the camera will turn off.
Auto Power off
Your camera will be turned off automatically if:
– The SD memory card is full or not inserted into the camera.
– When the internal battery power is depleted.
– When idle for more than 5 minutes in standby mode or while in the
MENU mode.
4. Connecting to a PC
– Push the switch OFF and then connect the camera to a computer via the
USB cable. After successful connection, “MSDC” will be seen in display.
– From the Windows desktop, double click on “My Computer”.
– Look for a new “removable disk” icon. This “removable disk” is
actually the memory card in your MINOX DTC 300. Typically, the
camera will be assigned the drive letter “E” or higher.
– Double click on the removable disk and locate the “DCIM” folder.
