Introduction
The Status Display provides information about the current status of the
printer. If you used the CD-ROM Installer to install the printer driver, the
Status Display was also automatically installed. However, if you used the Add
Printer wizard to manually install the printer driver, the Status Display is not
available.
Environment
The Status Display always looks for the default printer. Therefore, if the
printer is not set up as the default printer, you receive a “Printer not attached”
error message even if the printer is connected and turned on.
In addition, the Status Display supports only local ports (parallel and USB),
not Ethernet ports, in the following Windows operating systems.
