How the
Fireye Flame Control
Work
—After
loading i
s complet
e, the
dryer
contr
ol
turns
on
the
Main
and
Combus
tion Air blowers, then calls
for fi
re. If al
l safety require
ment
s
are sa
ti
sfied, po
wer i
s
provided
to
the
Fi
reye flam
e control. The fla
me control opens the
P
ilo
t Gas valve and powers the
spark
ignitio
n for a maxi
mum of
10
seconds. When the
pi
lot
fl
ame is
sensed by the
fl
ame control,
the
flame control
turns
off the
spark
ignit
ion and
turns on the
Main Gas valve. If the
pilot flam
e i
s not detec
ted af
ter 10 seconds, the
flame cont
rol turns off
the
Pilot
Gas
valve and the
spark ignit
ion, then locks
out.
This

re
Eye

ay,
then

luminates
the

Flame
Control Work

flam

co

trol turns on th
e
Main and Com
bustion Air
motor

tactors,

ied, then turns
on the spark
igni
tion and opens the
pilot gas
valve.
After
th
e
Pilo
t valves are
opened
and
the
fl
ame co
n
trol
receives an
input from
th
e
flame
rod,
it
opens the
Main Gas valve. If the p
ilo
t f
lame
or any safety i
s not sat
is
fied, the
flam
e
control locks out. The lock
out trips the fire eye
relay a
nd il
lumi
n
ates the
