Connection and start-up
Mount the torch neck
Note !
Risk of coolant leakage. When mounting the torch neck,
make sure that the swivel nut is fixed firmly.
Exchanging the liner in the torch neck
When cutting the liner in the correct length it must be
ensured that
- No burr (sharp edges) is present in the inner liner at the
cutting edge
- Hold the side-cutting pliers at a slight angle (the burr is
then pulled towards the outside)
- Grind off the burr.
Exchanging the liner (spiral)
- Lay down the welding hose straight and unscrew nut (2)
from the central connector (1).
- Slide the liner (3) through the wire conduit until a
noticeable resistance is felt in the inlet nipple.
- Mark the excess lenght (x) and pull out the liner (3).
- Shorten the liner by the marked lenght (x).
- Deburr the cutting edge and sharpen the beginning of
the spiral to an angle of 60°.
- Insert the cut liner into the wire conduit.
- Screw down nut (2) and secure with multiple wrench.
Mount the liner - PA
- Lay down the welding hose straight and unscrew nut (2)
from the central connector (1).
- Sharpen the beginning of the PA liner (3) to an angle of
60°
- Slide PA liner (3) through the wire conduit into the central
connector (1) until a noticeable resistance is felt.
- Slide clamp nipple (5), O-ring (4) and nut (2) on the PA
liner (3) and tighten the nut (2) under tension.
- If it is too long, mark the PA liner (3) in front of the wire
feed rolls (6).
- Cut the liner (3) at the mark directly in front of the wire
feed rolls.
- Sharpen the cutting edge.
Introducing wire
Deburr the cut welding wire
with emery cloth or file. If
the wire is deburred and
reasonably straight, it will
thread itself. In case of a fault,
stop and insert the wire by
hand into the wire guide.
Exchange the wire drive rolls
- Unscrew hexagon socked screws
- Raise pressure lever a little bit
- Remove drive roll and pressure roll
Note: use drive roll and pressure roll according to wire
diameter and wire material.
