Description
Washer-disinfectors fitted with a steam
condenser with heat recovery
(DK+WRG) are identified by the
following symbol.
DK+WRG variant machines can only be
used with a built-in boiler.
On these machines the steam
condenser is connected to an AD water
supply instead of to cold water. The AD
water used as a coolant flows through
the steam condenser into the boiler in
the washer-disinfector.
This pre-warming process reduces the
amount of energy required to heat up
water in the boiler. It also uses less
water than a steam condenser
connected to a fresh water system.
Because the water paths used in the
washer-disinfector are different the
water intake durations are longer in
those blocks that use hot AD water.
Areas of application
Washer-disinfectors with DK+WRG
must only be used for medical
applications.
To benefit fully from the heat recovery
system the washer-disinfector should
be operated without long pauses.
,
If the machine has not been
used for a longer period of time, e.g.
over a weekend the
FILL BOILER
service programme must be run
before using the machine again.
For reasons of hygiene, this
programme replaces AD water from
the steam condenser and the boiler
with fresh cold AD water.
