Many malfunctions and faults that can occur in daily operation can be easily
remedied. Time and money will be saved because a service call will not be
needed.
The following guide may help you to find the reason for a malfunction or a fault,
and to correct it.
The display indicates the following messages or faults
Message
Cause and remedy
The drum is empty
or the laundry is too
dry.
lights up after a
programme has
been cancelled.
This is not an error.
In some programmes, if the drum has been under-
loaded or is empty, the programme will be cancelled.
This can also happen if the items are already dry.
Open the door and check the laundry.
Add items if necessary.
Close the door to resume drying.
Dry individual items using the
Warm air
timed drying
programme.
Power outage. Pro-
gramme stopped
There has been a power outage.
When power is resumed, confirm with
OK
.
Touch the
Start/Stop
sensor.
Close the fluff filter
compartment
The fluff filter flap for the fluff filter is open.
Close the fluff filter flap.
The message will go out.
Never open the fluff filter flap during active programme
operation. Opening the fluff filter flap during active pro-
gramme operation interrupts the airflow. The pro-
gramme will also be cancelled. If the airflow is interrup-
ted, the tumble dryer cannot discharge the hot air
quickly enough. The tumble dryer can be permanently
disabled by this safety feature. If this happens, contact
the Miele Customer Service Department.
Clean the filters
lights up after a
specific time in-
terval at the end
of a programme.
Follow the cleaning instructions in the “Cleaning and
care” chapter.
Clean the fluff filter.
Check and clean the air flow openings.
To clear the message: Open the fluff filter flap for
at least 10 seconds with the dryer switched on.
