Placing the appliance in the
niche
If you are installing two appliances
side by side, now secure the
appliances to one another (see the
instructions for the side-by-side
installation kit).
^
Unscrew the plinth facing.
^
Affix temporary protection to adjacent
furniture fronts.
^
Plug in the appliance
a
.
Connection should be made via a
suitable switched socket. The
socket should be close to the
appliance and easily accessible.
When installing two appliances
side-by-side, each appliance must
have its own separate socket.
^
Secure the cable to prevent it
becoming caught:
Tie a piece of string to the middle of
the cable, and as the appliance is
being pushed into the niche, pull the
cable forward underneath the
appliance
b
.
^
Carefully push the appliance back
into the housing unit.
If the appliance does not slide easily
into the niche (e.g. if the floor is
uneven),
^
screw out the rear adjusters slightly
(see "Aligning the appliance") and
slide the appliance into the niche.
Then push the appliance into the
niche, taking care not to damage
the electrical cable.
^
Remove the temporary protection
from the adjacent furniture fronts.
