Pyrolytic cleaning of the oven
interior
Before starting a pyrolytic cleaning
process please note the following:
Remove any coarse soiling from the
oven before you start.
There is a fibre-glass door seal
around the oven cavity. This seal is
particularly sensitive and should not
be cleaned unless absolutely
necessary. Rubbing can damage it.
Remove all accessories and any
extra accessories from the oven
interior before starting the pyrolytic
cleaning process. The high
temperature needed for pyrolysis will
damage the accessories.
The runners can be left in the oven.
The oven door gets much hotter
during pyrolytic operation than
during normal use. Make sure
children cannot touch the oven
whilst the pyrolytic programme is
running. Danger of burning.
During the pyrolytic process the oven is
heated to approximately 400 °C. Any
residual soiling is burnt off by the high
temperatures.
For safety reasons the oven door is
automatically locked at the beginning of
the pyrolytic programme.
You can select the pyrolytic programme
duration depending on the level of
soiling:
–
PY i
(Duration approx. 2 h)
–
PY 2
(Duration approx. 2 h 15 min.)
–
PY 3
(Duration approx. 2 h 30 min.)
At the end of the programme the door
will not be unlocked until the
temperature inside the oven has
dropped to below 280 °C.
