Changing the temperature
If your recipe requires a temperature
which is different from the default
temperature for that function you can
use the temperature selector to change
it within a given range. The temperature

Temperature indicator
The
temperature indicator light
will
appear next to the temperature in the
display. The indicator light is always on
when the heating is on.
When the set temperature is reached,
– the oven heating switches off.
– the temperature indicator light goes
out.
– a buzzer will sound, if this option is
selected (see chapter "Settings
%
-
P 2
").
However, if the temperature falls below
the set temperature, the oven heating
and the temperature indicator light will
switch on again.
Pre-heating
Most dishes can be placed in a cold
oven. They will then make use of the
heat produced during the heating-up
phase.
It is only necessary to pre-heat the oven
in a few instances:
With
Fan Plus
U
– for baking dark bread
– for roasting beef/fillet or meats
weighing 1 kg or less
With
Conventional
V
– for baking cakes and biscuits with a
short baking time (up to approx. 30
minutes)
– baking pastry and cheesecake/flan
bases,

Do not use Rapid Heat-up

pre-heat the oven when baking
pizzas or biscuits and small cakes.
They will brown too quickly.
To pre-heat the oven:
^
Select Rapid Heat-up
S
and set a
temperature.
^
When the temperature indicator light
goes out for the first time, set the
oven function you require for
continued cooking or baking, and
place the food in the oven.
