Chapter 3: System Test

EXP-1002 

  The System Test evaluates the battery, starting and 

charging systems.  The System Test includes Battery 

Test to eliminate it as the cause of starting or charging 

problems.

The BACK key returns you to the Main Menu at the start of the 

test and to the previous screen as you progress.

Battery Test

The System Test includes a test of the battery to eliminate it as 

the cause of starting or charging problems.
1.  In the Main Menu, select the System Test icon. 
2.  Use 

 or 

 to select the AMP CLAMP availability and press 

NEXT to continue, or press the corresponding number key.
If you select the Amp Clamp, follow the on-screen 

instructions for zeroing out clamp and placing it around 

the negative battery cable before proceeding.

3.  Use 

 or 

 to select the POST TYPE and press NEXT to 

continue or press the corresponding number key.
