Chapter 7 Installation
1. Connect your actuator with the analogue output (see schematic diagram in chapter "Technical details
about the output" on page 28). You can use the Connection cable 7-pins for sensors 2,8m (206.602) or
Cable connector 7-pins for myDatalogMobile (206.654) for this purpose. Further accessories are
detailed in the chapter "Spare parts and accessories" on page 39. Ensure that no current is present
when establishing the connection. The power source supplying the current loop should therefore be
switched off.
Important note:
If you operate the BLE mA Link in areas with a zone 1 explosive atmosphere,
observe the ATEX requirements when connecting the open ends of the Connection cable 7-
pins for sensors 2,8m (206.602) with your actuator (e.g. distances between the signal lines).
The same applies if you use the Cable connector 7-pins for myDatalogMobile (206.654).
Important note:
If you use the Connection cable 7-pins for sensors 2,8m (206.602), the joint
between the sensor cable and sensor must be suitably protected against the penetration of
moisture and dust. You can use the Clamping tube(300256 )for this purpose (see "Use of the
clamping tube" on page 27).
The following step is not mandatory.
2. Check whether the connection to the data logger (e.g.myDatasensH2S1000 BLE/3G ATEX ) functions
correctly (see "Testing communication with the device" on page 29).
