Channel & Tape Speed Setting
Recording channel and tape speed are automatically set to the
current channel which you are viewing and SP mode respectively.
But, if necessary, the change of the current channel and tape
speed can be done by simple key operation as follows.
• To change the channel, adjust with
CH/TRK
key.
• To change the tape speed, adjust with speed selection key
(SP/EP).
NOTE:
1. The 3S Timer Programming function allows you to record programs as long as 3 days in
advance.
2. There is no need to set END time because it is automatically set to stop recording after 2 hours
from the START time. When you want to increase or decrease the recording time, you can
adjust the END time by pressing the
END +
or
-
key.
3. The programs by the 3S Timer Recording are recorded only at 'ONE TIME' Program mode.

"SUPER SIMPLE SYSTERM (3S)" is the simplest and most convenient programming method which
requires only "a three time key pressing" for basic 2 hour recording. Moreover, extra steps as
changing channel number, tape speed as well as starting and ending times can be easily done by
simple key operation.
This is similar to normal Timer Programming on pages
18~20, but this is differentiated from it in the simplicity
of programming operation.
• Turn on the TV and VCR.
• Set the TV to your VCR channel.
• Set the VCR to the VCR mode by pressing the
TV/VCR
key when the VCR indicator is not on
the display panel.
• Make sure that the clock is adjusted to the
current time.
When you want to program the timer to record a program
of the same channel which you are viewing, for basic 2
hours as SP mode.

3S Program Mode
Press the
3S
key on the remote control. CH and SPEED are
automatically set.
CH: The channel which you are viewing.
SPEED: SP.
Press the
START+
or
-START
key to set the start time. END time
is automatically set to finish recording after 2 hours from start time.
DATE is adjusted by pressing the
START+
or
-START
key like
TODAY, TODAY+1, and TODAY+2.

Timer Standby Mode
Press the
3S
key then following instruction will appear on the
screen.
Press the
POWER
key.
The power will be off and TIMER REC indicator
will light.
