Explain to your children all risks which can be caused by electric current:

Danger caused by hot parts of the appliance and exhausting hot steam

Danger caused by electric current
Keep the appliance at any time out of reach of children or persons who can not handle
electric appliances properly.
•
Do not leave packaging components (plastic bags, cardboard, polystyrene, etc.) within
the reach of children, as it could be dangerous - danger of suffocation!
•
Caution Danger of electric shock! Appliance, cord and plug should never get into
contact with water or any other liquids to avoid the risk of electric shock:
-
never immerse the appliance, the cord or the plug in water or any other liquid for
cleaning or any other reason

the cord should never get wet or get in contact with humid things
-
never use the appliance near a sink, or bathtub to avoid danger of falling into water
-
never touch the appliance with wet hands or standing on a wet ground
-
never place the appliance on wet ground
-
never use the appliance outdoors

Run the cable in a way that nobody can stumble over it or pull on it.
•
Take care that the cable never comes into contact with sharp edges and hot objects.
•
Connect this appliance to a plug which is wired according to the regulations (230 V ~AC).
•
Before first use ensure that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the rating plate
of the appliance.
•
Additional protection may be obtained by fitting an earth-leakage circuit-breaker (IF=30mA)
into your home installation. Please consult a qualified electrician.

Unplug the appliance

before changing accessories or cleaning the appliance

To unplug only pull the plug, never pull on the cord to avoid damage.
•
Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any
way. Do not wind the cord around the hot appliance and do not bend it. From time to time
check if the cord is damaged. In this case or if the appliance is damaged it must not be used
any more.
•
Only use the original attachments which are supplied with the unit.
•
Caution! Danger of burning! The appliance gets very hot during operation. Do not
touch the hot appliance or hot metal parts. Only touch the cool touch handle and the
knobs.
•
Make sure the appliance never comes into contact with inflammable materials, such as
curtains, cloth, etc. when it is in use, as a fire might occur. It is advisable to place a heat
resistant coating between your table and the appliance (this way you don't get burns on
your table or table cloth).
•
Never move the appliance while it is hot. Let the unit cool down before cleaning and
storing.
•
Fire danger! Always keep enough distance to the walls, furniture curtain or towels.
The appliance must not be placed next to easily inflammable objects. Ensure that the
cord does not touch hot parts of the appliance like waffle plate or housing.
•
Never use or place the appliance near a hotplate or a hot oven.
