Calibration and system suitability
Calibrate an instrument

Connect an instrument.

Attach a proper Calibration Standard to the instrument.

Place the instrument upright.

. The calibration may
take some time.
A dialog window confirms the success or failure of the calibration.

After calibration, the user will be prompted to do a system suitability
test. Selecting
[OK]
will automatically run the test. Selecting
[Can-
cel]
will end the testing.
Perform a system suitability test
A system suitability test is a self-test to demonstrate instrument suitability.
Several internal test procedures are performed. For example peak intensity
and wavenumber calibration check.
The user can run this test independently of calibration. The test can be run
on a daily basis to ensure that the instrument runs as expected. After suc-
cess or failure of the test, a report can be saved. The report shows details
of performed tests.
