The default settings for the terminal connected to the management port are given in the table
below:

4 . 6. 3 Connecting to a PC COM port
A converter cable can be supplied to convert from the 25-way female D-type connector on
the rear panel of the DSU to a 9-way D-type connector. This may be required if a PC is being
used as the management terminal to connect to the PC’s 9-pin COM port. The connections
are given in the figure below.

Notes:
To inhibit the modem control function for reasons explained earlier in this section, loop pins
4 and 6 at the 25 way DSU end of cable.
