to  prevent  any  dangerous  situation  caused  by  spontaneous  re-starting  when  mains  voltage  is
supplied to the machine.  The controls are protected against accidental use:

  Thermal protection of the motor.

Protection by means of a fuse in the low-voltage auxiliary circuit.

The electric system is designed in conformity with European regulations CEI EN 60204-1 (CEI
44-5  §  44-6  sections  2119  E  &  1364)  -  The  safety  devices  of  the  mechanical  type,  which  are
incorporated  in  the  main  structure  of  the  machine  to  provide  it  with  a  high  degree  of  intrinsic
safety and controllable manipulation, are those listed below:

Large oval inlet (B Fig.1): for insertion of vegetables.

Large oval inlet shutter and vegetable presser (C Fig.1):  impedes introduction of hands or

fingers through the inlet when the machine is in operation.

Small  circular  inlet  (diameter  56  mm)(D  Fig.1):  for  insertion  of  vegetables.  The  small

diameter  and  considerable  depth  prevent  the  hands  and  fingers  from  being  introduced
through the inlet.

Outlet (H Fig.1) for cut/sliced vegetables: the particular form of this opening does not allow

the hands or fingers to reach the moving parts inside the machine.

The  safety  measures  and  devices  mentioned  above  conform  to  prescribed  standards  in
European regulations EEC 89/392 - 94/44 - 93/68.

1.5  Electric wiring

The electric wiring of the machine is designed according to the technical regulations in CEI EN
60204-1  CEI  44-6  section  1364,  which  refer  to  electrical  parts  and  equipment  in  industrial
machinery  cf.  Part  2  -  Designation  of  the  components  and  examples  of  drawings,  diagrams,
tables etc.

1.6  Warnings and instructions regarding safety

Please read the following warnings very carefully.  Anyone who uses this machine must have
read and be fully aware of their content.

WARNINGS ALONE WILL NOT ELIMINATE THE RISK OF DANGER....

Remember that instructions or warnings cannot replace industrial safety regulations and really
act as a back-up measure, reminding operators to respect the regulations, which must be
observed at all times.

FAILURE TO OBSERVE ANY INSTRUCTIONS AND SAFETY REGULATIONS AND
IMPROPER USE OF MACHINE MAY LEAD TO INJURY OF THE OPERATOR.

1.  This machine, which features a design based on very modern conceptions, was constructed

to offer high levels of performance together with maximum safety for the operator.
