When the current is removed the lever returns to its previous position and
engages the rocker arm. When it energises again, the rocker arm moves the
rinse aid lever which opens the pump causing rinse aid to be dispensed into
the wash compartment.
The rinse aid to be dispensed is stored in an adjustable container that fills to
the top when the door is FULLY opened. When the pump opens, gravity
causes the rinse aid to fall into the wash compartment.
Possible failures:
the dishwasher doesn't dispense rinse aid and therefore the dishes are not
dried properly or the rinse aid light won't go off.
• check if there is rinse aid in the container.
• check that the lever is working properly.
• check that the pump rises.
• check that the coil energises.
