GEARCASE LUBRICANT CAPACITY

Gearcase lubricant capacity is approximately 970 ml (32.8 fl oz) for right hand

rotation gearcases and 900 ml (30.4 fl oz) for left hand rotation gearcases.

GEARCASE LUBRICANT RECOMMENDATION

Mercury or Quicksilver High Performance Gear Lubricant.

CHECKING LUBRICANT LEVEL AND REFILLING GEARCASE

1. Place the outboard in a vertical operating position.
2. Remove the vent plug/sealing washer.
3. Remove the fill/drain plug. Place the lubricant tube into the fill hole and

add the lubricant until it appears at the vent hole.
