of the engine.

In the ignition switch "I" terminal lead, there may be a 20 amp fuse that protects the electrical

system. Check for a failed fuse if you turn the ignition key to the "START" position and

nothing happens, assuming the circuit breaker is not tripped.

The clean power harness connected to the engine starting battery minimizes voltage drop

to the electrical system and is protected by a 5 amp fuse.

Audio Warning System

Your Mercury MerCruiser power package may be equipped with an Audio Warning System.

The Audio Warning System will not protect the engine from damage. It is designed to warn

the operator that a problem has occurred.
The audio warning system will sound with a continuous horn if one of the following occurs:
• Engine oil pressure too low
• Engine temperature too hot
