Answering a Call Using Handset Operation
If the phone is in the cradle and connected to the coilcord, lift the phone to your ear and begin the conversation. If
the phone is not in the cradle press

Switching from Hands Free to Handset Operation
If you’re talking on the phone in Hands Free operation and you wish to switch to Handset operation,
remove the phone from the cradle, open the
fl
ip, and begin speaking.
Note:
Remember that docking the phone in the cradle with the flip open could result in damage to the phone from
the armrest cover.
Switching from Handset to Hands Free Operation
If the
fl
ip is open, closing it will switch the call from Handset to Hands Free mode.

To switch back to Hands Free operation, press

to mute the microphone. Then, return the portable to
the cradle and close the

ip. The microphone will automatically unmute at this time.
To Mute a Handset Call
Press

This will mute the call so the party on the other end cannot hear you speaking. It is like putting someone on hold.
While the call is muted, you can switch the call from portable to Hands Free operation by docking the phone. As
noted above, once you dock the portable, your conversation will immediately become unmuted.
The mute and unmute features also work in PORTABLE MODE.
