NOTE Damage caused by objects in the
footwell or behind the rear seats
When adjusting the fore-and-aft position, the
rear seats and/or the object can be dam‐
aged.

Stow objects in a suitable place.
The components of the rear bench seat can be
moved. You can move the right-hand and left-
hand part together with the center part inde‐
pendently of each other.

Adjusting the rear seat backrests mechani‐
Always ensure that all vehicle occupants have
their seat belts fastened correctly and are sitting
properly. Particular attention must be paid to
children.
If you no longer require the seat backrest to be
folded down for getting in and out, fold it back
into place.

WARNING Risk of becoming trapped if
the seat is not engaged
The seat does not engage when folded for‐
wards. The seat can fold backwards unex‐
pectedly, e.g. when accelerating, braking or
in the event of an abrupt change of direction
or an accident.
People in the seat's sweep can become trap‐
ped.

If a seat is folded forwards, always fold
it back before driving off.

Make sure that the seat is engaged.
